Logan & Logan had its origins beginning in 1932 when William H. Logan Sr. was admitted to the Virginia State Bar and opened an office in Woodstock, Virginia after having attended the University of Virginia School of Law. Over his fifty-four career he would represent families, businesses, municipalities, and also serve as the prosecutor for Shenandoah County. His long-spanning practice touched upon a broad spectrum of the law. His son, William “Billy” Logan Jr., attended Roanoke College for his undergraduate degree, and in 1973 he graduated from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and joined his father in the practice of law. Billy handled a similarly broad range of legal matters, and also was elected on four occasions to serve as the chief prosecutor for Shenandoah County. William Logan Sr. passed away in 1986, and Billy continued Logan & Logan until his election as a Judge by Virginia’s General Assembly for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on July 1, 1999. Billy served as a Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge until his retirement from the bench in 2015. Rachel Logan began her legal career upon graduation from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2013, and in 2017 she re-opened Logan & Logan and resumed the tradition of representing clients in a broad range of civil and criminal matters and continues to serve the needs of clients throughout the Shenandoah Valley.
